WORKSHOP PRICE LIST:
All registrations include one complimentary ticket to the production of “Birth”.
Providers (doctors/midwives): $250 *
Other Birth Professionals: $125 ✦
Students/Parents (no CEUs) $50
* This course is the didactic requirement for Waterbirth Credentialing. Registration cost includes credentialing fees, membership in Waterbirth International and CEUs.
✦ Doulas, nurses, childbirth educators, midwives, doctors and other birth professionals registered at this rate will receive a CEU certificate.
THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER:
For participants to have a guaranteed seat and class packet we ask that registration be completed no later than three days prior to the event. Registration at the door, the day of, will be available.
CANCELLATIONS:
A full refund is given when Continuing Studies receives notification of withdrawal from the registrant before the third business day prior to the start of the course. No refund will be given after the course begins.
CREDENTIALING INFORMATION:
Credentialing through Waterbirth International (a public benefit nonprofit 501-c-3 organization) is done in three steps.
- Completion of the Waterbirth Certification Workshop
- Submission of attendance at five (5) waterbirths and evaluation of outcomes through your role as a provider. Submission of documentation is currently done by mailing in your packet of materials along with a $35 check for processing.
- Active Professional Membership in Waterbirth International. Professional membership is yearly and is $95
The Credentialing candidate also signs an agreement to continue ongoing data reporting. Candidates also agree to encourage waterbirth mothers to register their babies on the “I Was Born in Water,” list on the Waterbirth International website.
The goal with both the Credentialing and the collection of on going data (both from the professionals and from parents) is to create a vibrant research and referral database.
As funding becomes available through grants and donations, Waterbirth International will make both the Credentialing packet and the database available online as well as payment options.
If someone from the Ft. Wayne IPFW Waterbirth Certification Workshop signs up at the $250 registration price, their credentialing packet and one year membership are included with registration. If they register for the $125 price, they can apply for the packet and membership at a later date, not to exceed three years.
A certificate of Credentialing and a graphic logo for their website indicating their Credentialing status is sent as soon as all requirements are fulfilled. Continued Credentialing requires on-going data reporting and yearly membership.
